The Bira Foundation Impact
At Bira Foundation, we believe in merging innovation, sustainability, and compassion to create real change for stray animals. Our two key initiatives focus on practical, long-term solutions to ensure that every paw gets the care it deserves.
Paw Seva: Innovation, Sustainability, and Creativity
Paw Seva is more than just feeding—it’s about rethinking solutions for stray welfare through creativity and sustainability. We gave a platform to young Indian students, encouraging them to design and develop gravity feeders using waste plastic bottles. These innovative feeders provide a continuous food supply for strays while addressing the problem of plastic waste.
What We Do
-
Install gravity feeders in Red Zones across Delhi NCR, where stray dogs struggle the most for food.
-
Provide free monthly dog food to all Bira Crusaders who maintain and refill these feeders.
-
Partner with Zigly, whose support helps us sustain and expand this initiative.
Paw Toh Sabka Hai: Inclusive Feeding for Stray Cats
While most feeding initiatives focus on dogs, we recognize the need for cat-inclusive welfare. Paw Toh Sabka Hai ensures that community cats also receive consistent care and nutrition.
What We Do
-
Distribute free cat food to volunteers feeding strays across Delhi NCR.
-
Use upcycled feeders to create stable food sources for community cats.
-
Partner with A&V Distributors, who generously provide the food that sustains this initiative.
We are committed to ensuring that no stray, regardless of species, is left behind.
